Gisbert de Miguel
Born in Alcoy in 1970, Gisbert grew up in a working family. His father inspired him with a passion for art, and encouraged him to develop his skills as a self taught artist. Creativity is at his core where not only is he an accomplished pianist, but also a competitive martial artist, having represented his national team in Taekwondo.
De Miguel continues to attract increasing acclaim not only for his hyperrealistic artworks, each taking countless hours of detailed attention and care, but also in his newer style of loose portraiture.
De Miguel initially became known for his work in monochromatic paintings, before exploring the incredible results of his style in colour. His renown has grown in the last few years, as he has taken part in a number of exhibitions, as well as being featured on art-focused television programmes. De Miguel's artwork also has many high-profile admirers, with a number of Spanish celebrities now his personal clients.
Adapting traditional skills of realism with a highly contemporary approach to subject and composition, De Miguel straddles the genres of modern contemporary and popular art, which Gallery Rouge are delighted to support.
